Liam Neeson recalls flight nightmare
Liam Neeson has recalled his worst aeroplane experience, when he was stuck on a long-haul flight next to a passenger who was taken ill.
The actor plays an air marshal in new action thriller Non-Stop, co-starring Julianne Moore, Michelle Dockery and Lupita Nyong'o, about a flight from New York to London which is targeted by a terrorist who threatens to kill one passenger every 20 minutes unless 150 million dollars is transferred into a secret bank account.
Watch our interview with Liam in our Sony Movie News report.
Liam recalled his own nightmare flight experience, revealing: " I had a long-haul flight to South Africa with someone who was violently ill, and I couldn't change seats. So I was sitting like this for most of the flight (flinching) and eventually the air hostess, flight attendant, gave them a sleeping medication and it worked... But it was nasty."
Co-star Julianne said she doesn't mind being sat next to a chatty passenger. The award-winning actress said: "Occasionally you get somebody who's really chatty, but you know what - I tend to go with it. I think I'll just talk to this person, find out where they're from and sometimes it's really interesting!"
Non-Stop takes place entirely on an aeroplane, so the stars were working in a very enclosed set for 40 days straight.
But Liam insisted the atmosphere on set was, "always terrific, never tense".
He went on: "I get to sit next to Ms Moore every day - she has a great, great sense of humour even up to and including when the cameras start turning.
"Julianne has a wonderful effervescent spirit, that made us all feel lighter in some way. Of course the subject matter's serious, but she made us all giggle."
