Baywatch - The movie
Baywatch, the home of a thousand beach-run 'slo-mo's' is getting the big screen treatment with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Zac Efron set to don red bathing trunks and a life raft.
However, the news hasn't been welcome by the show's orginal star, Pamela Anderson, who played lifeguard CJ Parker and became a global superstar on the back of the series.
Anderson told celebrity website TMZ that she hadn't been offered a role in the movie and that "no one appreciates the remakes" anyway.
But the show's part-creator David Hasselhof is considering a role.
Film makers hope the new movie will follow in the footsteps of 90s TV reboot 21 Jump Street starring Jonah Hill & Channing Tatum which was a hit at the box office.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the plot follows a straight-laced lifeguard (The Rock) who teams up with a young hothead (Efron) to save their beach from falling into the clutches of an oil tycoon. Horrible Bosses director Seth Gordon will helm the project.
